Known for its mild and softening properties on the skin. A good source of omega 6 essential fatty acid and various antioxidants that have benefits for human health. Once rice bran oil is applied to the skin it fosters surface microcirculation and skin metabolism, providing protection against premature aging. It influences oil secretion, absorbs UV rays and helps prevent oxidation. It is excellent for dry, sensitive skin and newly created skin such as baby skin but also for mature skin because of the oil’s high antioxidant content.

Which Hazel Glycerol Extract (Amamelis virginiana): Origin: Canada
As well as being astringent, it is anti-inflammatory, making it useful in treating oily or large-pored skin or minor pimples. Its high tannins content (up to 10%) has a strengthening astringent effect on veins and is therefore very useful for treating varicose veins and minor capillary problems. The external skin forms a protective covering after the tannins have tightened the proteins and underlying blood vessels, thus reducing inflammation.

Ximenia oil is obtained from the seed kernel of the Ximenia americana, a small tree or shrub found in Southern Africa. Ximenia oil helps to preserve the integrity of the cell wall and has a restructuring and anti-ageing effect on the skin, making it perfect for mature skin types. Oleic acid, which comprises approximately 50% of the oil, penetrates deep into the skin and hair and helps retain moisture levels, making the skin and hair softer. It penetrates deep into the hair cuticle, helping make the hair more manageable.
Yarrow Extract (Achillea millefolium): Origin: Aboca
Yarrow is used for its astringent, healing and soothing effects on the skin. It strengthens skin tone. It is used for oily skin, acne, large pores, wrinkles and eczema. Brewer’s Yeast extract mimics the action of collagen. It imparts greater elasticity, more resilience and a youthful look to skin through its moisture-binding and lifting properties. Soluble collagen provides an important function in the skin matrix, not only for its structural properties, but also for its ability to help hold moisture in the dermis. The appearance of the skin is directly proportional to its ability to bind water. Upon ageing, the collagen and elastin content in connective tissue reduces with an accompanying decrease in ability to retain moisture.
